Gary Shockley, raised in a preacher’s home by parents Tom and Jean, has been married to Edie since 1971. They have three grown children with children of their own. With eleven grandchildren and a  great grandchild, the Shockleys enjoy regular family gatherings.

Gary has been in full-time ministry since 1974, starting at Middletown Christian School and later serving as Associate at Trinity Baptist Temple in Middletown, OH. Since 1986, he has been the Pastor at Shelton Beach Road Baptist Church. Gary graduated from Eastern Kentucky University (BS ’72) and Xavier University (M Ed ’77), and he received his DMin (’05) from Covington Theological Seminary.

Expressing gratitude for his life in Saraland, AL, Gary is committed to faithful service. His passion is preaching the word, loving people, and making a difference in his community. Currently, he serves as a Commissioner on the Saraland City School Board.
